For over 400 years, Schloss Mitterhart has shaped the culture and landscape of Vomp and Schwaz. The milestones below trace the estate\u2019s journey \u2013 from its origins as a 17th-century noble residence to the present-day Schlosshotel Mitterhart. Run by the Mair family, the castle has been home to six generations of tradition, hospitality and refined cuisine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\r\n\t\t\t\t Schloss Mitterhart was built between 1615 and 1620 by Knight Hieronymus von Stauber. Following his death, the estate was inherited by his grandson, Konstantin Imhoff von Spielberg, and later passed to the latter\u2019s daughter, Maria Regina, who married into the noble Fieger von Hirschberg family.\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>

\r\n\t\t\t\t Following the extinction of the Fieger family line, Johann Gwercher from Matrei am Brenner purchased the estate in 1802. \r\n\t\t\t\t The old Gwercher Hof on the castle grounds \u2013 once a residence, stable and barn \u2013 underwent extensive renovation in 2024 and 2025 and was transformed into a modern estate lodge: the Land(heart). Now home to 28 stylish rooms and suites, a hotel reception, lounge bar and seminar room, the new lodge marks a significant evolution. With this addition, Schloss Mitterhart has grown into a true Schlosshotel \u2013 where historical character, Alpine charm and contemporary comfort come together in perfect harmony.
