The third Lake Achensee date is the most sociable: at the Hoamfohrafest, people do not simply watch – they celebrate. Music, Tirolean specialities and a mood that bids farewell to the alpine summer without becoming wistful await visitors around Steinbergerhof in Maurach.
The decorated animals arrive in the early afternoon. Until then, there is time for a long Sunday morning – an unhurried breakfast and the drive along the lake.

A Sunday that does not begin until the afternoon calls for an extra night beforehand. Stay for the whole weekend: Gramai Alm on Friday, Reith on Saturday, Maurach on Sunday – with a later check-out so the journey home need not begin until the evening.
